Okay, where to even begin!
It's been a while since I've blogged anything but this wedding had WAY TO MANY moments to post on my Facebook page so I am blogging the highlights instead!!
I met MC and Nathan in December at their engagement session but I've been doing photography for Nathan's cousins for a while now. Remember last year when I said that I wasn't doing weddings anymore?? Well, Nathan's cousin Lindsay (one of my favsss because she is the sweetest) text me and asked me to reconsider doing two weddings because her cousins were getting married.
So, I said yes and here we are!
It was such a beautiful day!! In fact I'm REALLY glad I waited so long to blog this wedding because with all the rain we've been getting lately this should definitely remind people what sunlight is!! Lol.
I'm sure most of you are skipping over this part and going straight to the pictures! So, what in the world am I still doing talking???
Congratulations MC and Nathan! You guys are absolutely precious and I am so happy I got to photograph your beautiful day!!!
What to even say about this birth.
I met Courtney and Matt last Fall at their pregnancy reveal session when I was highly pregnant with Judah. We had a blast! After that session Courtney told me she wanted me to photograph the birth, I was all about it! I LOVE birth photography so much.
Fast forward to April.
I was not even expecting her to be put into the hospital to be induced early, she was still like two weeks away from her induction date. Well, offfffff course she text me during my busiest week of busy season and said, "We're having a baby tomorrow PLEASE tell me your available."
and then she progressed slow so I wasn't anywhere NEAR the hospital when she text me and said "I'm 10cm!"
I prayed to Jesus and got every green light on the way to the hospital.
annnd then I get there and home girl is PUTTING ON MAKEUP! "Because you know I'm going to look good for pictures!"
This girl, I'm telling you.
She was a rockstar during Bennett's birth, though. Just completely amazing! I cried when he was born and was so proud of Courtney!
It's people like Courtney and Matt that make me so beyond thankful for my job. They love me and I love them just as much.
Happy Birthday Bennett. I'm so happy to be your Auntie Whit Whit.
I don't think Blair and Dylan could have asked for a more beautiful day for their wedding. The sky was cloudless and the light was gorgeous to watch these two pledge their life together.
Plus, I had such a great time photographing this sweet wedding!
I got to see people I haven't seen in such a long time- it was like a mini-reunion from my Calvary/MC days.
Thank you Emily for reaching out when Blair got engaged, I am SO happy I got to be there for all you guys! I hope you guys love the sneak peek!! <3
I'm not too sure if any of you are aware of this but when someone you've known practically your whole life gets married and they're younger than you it makes you feel really really really old.
Josh and Lauren GOT MARRIED. in April. They celebrated their one month anniversary like two weeks ago. SO I'm WAY behind on this sneak peek!!
But in my defense right after their wedding my entire house sick including my little Judah - who got sick twice- once with a cold, second with an ear infection. Josh and Lauren have been so stinking patient waiting on this post so I made it extra long for them!
I should have the entire gallery ready next week, guys!!
I hope you LOVE this sneak peek! Your day was beautiful and I'm so happy I got to be apart of it! Love you guys!
Goodness, where to even begin!
I met Tiffany and Derik at their engagement session right after I got off maternity leave. I never imagined that I would sort of fall in love with them right away! They were absolutely adorable and such a sweet couple!
The next weekend I saw Tiff again for her bridal session- Kristin (wedding planner), Tiff and I had a blast walking around the RSA tower and Battlehouse Hotel.
April 9th ended up being a gorgeous day for their downtown Mobile wedding. The only problem being a music festival right across from the venue- where they were getting married on the balcony. They took it all in stride- and because of that the ceremony ended up being beautiful.
I had a blast shooting your wedding Tiffany and Derik! Thank you for allowing me to capture your day!! I hope you love this little sneak peek!!
Saturday marked my first wedding of the year! Busy season has officially began!
The ceremony was at St. Joseph's Cathedral and the reception was at the DAR house! The entire wedding was just gorgeous! From the ivory bridesmaid dresses to the white hydrangeas- everything was just seamless.
I can't even decide my most favorite part of the day- The first look with Kristen's dad was so sweet, the ceremony was so beautiful- especially the part where they honored loved ones lost and the first dances were equal parts hilarious and emotional. The two best men played and led the song for the first dance and the mother/son dance.
Needless to say, I had a blast!
Rob, Kristen- Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your day! I hope you love this little sneak peek!
This sweet couple got married in April and I have been so busy I am just now getting a sneak peek up and getting their images ready to be delivered.
They were originally suppose to get married in the courtyard but weather forced us inside, it still turned out beautiful and we were able to get some outdoor shots before it started raining. Laci, I hope you love the sneak peek!!
Sneak peek of the sweet wedding I got to shoot a couple weeks ago!
Christy and Kent, I wish you guys the best!!
(And since you've been patiently waiting for a sneak peek I won't ramble on.)
Trying out this blogging thing again, I've never been great at it but I suppose I need to start again.
So, to start out I have this precious baby on my blog today! When Lauren messaged me about their family/newborn session it was because the other photographer she was going to use had the flu in her house. I felt so sad for her, because I know how exciting this time can be with your new baby. So, of course I looked at my schedule for the quickest time I could get her in.
Two days later I was at her house and met this gorgeous baby. He was such a sweet little guy and slept like a champ the whole time! This entire family was just the sweetest and I had such a great time with them.
